Early and Late: A Tribute to Aharon Appelfeld

Aharon Appelfeld, one of the greatest writers of our generation, who passed away this year, touched in his timeless writing upon the experience of detachment and being a refugee – a cross-cultural experience and a subject that is more important and relevant today than ever before. Prof. Yigal Schwartz, Gail Hareven, and Prof. Miron H. Izakson will talk about the author and his work, under the direction of Noa Menhaim. Actress Sara von Schwarze will read passages from Appelfeld’s books and materials from his archive.
