Yishai Sarid

Sarid was born in 1965 in Tel Aviv. He served in the IDF as an intelligence officer and reached the rank of Major. He studied law at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and holds a master’s degree in public administration from Harvard University. He has authored the novels The Investigation of Captain Erez (2000) which has been translated into French; Limassol (2009), which has been translated into eight languages, won the Grand Prix de Littérature Policière for Best Foreign Crime Novel (France) and the Maria Giorgetti International Award (Italy, 2013), and was shortlisted for the prestigious IMPAC Award (Dublin); Naomi’s Kindergarten (2013), which was shortlisted for the Sapir Prize and translated into German; and The Third (2015). Sarid is married, has three children, and lives in Tel Aviv.
