Noga Albalach
Alblach was born in Petah Tikva in 1971. She received a master’s degree in economics from Tel Aviv University and worked in Israel’s banking system for ten years before deciding to pursue a literary career. Her first book, The Push (2013) received the Minister of Culture Prize for Debut Literature. Her second book, Mopping Floors and Short Stories, was published that same year; her third book, Sealand, was published in 2015. She has also authored two children’s books – Eli Spreads His Wings, which was included in the 2010 Book Parade, and Grandpa’s Cake. Albalach is the recipient of the 2015 Prime Minister’s Prize for Literature. She works as a literary editor at HaKibbutz HaMeuchad – Sifriat Poalim Publishing.
