Mai, who spent many years in the Chinese intelligence services, is one of China’s bestselling and most famous writers, and president of Zhejiang Writers Association. He has won almost every major book prize in China, including its highest literary honor, the Mao Dun Literature Prize. His books have sold over five million copies in China and his novel Decoded has been translated into 20 languages, including Hebrew.
