Kobi Meidan
Meidan is a broadcast journalist and translator. He has presented and edited interview and cultural programs on television and radio, among them Night Talk on Channel 2, Cross Israel on Israeli Educational Television, and the radio programs Right Now, People in the Night, and the Broadcasted University on Galei Tzahal. His play Songs Factory has won first prize in the Haifa International Children’s Theater Festival. His poems have been printed in the journals Ho! and Helicon. Among his translations into Hebrew are Leonard Cohen’s The Songs and Book of Longing, Raise High the Roofbeam, Carpenters by J. D. Salinger, Nelson Mandela’s Conversations with Myself, and Ayad Akhtar’s play, Disgraced, which was performed in the Cameri Theater.
