Ehud Banai
Born in 1953 to a family of actors and musicians of Persian origin, Banai is one of the most influential and acclaimed musicians in Israel. His debut album, Ehud Banai and the Refugees, is considered one of the most important albums of Israeli rock and has inspired generations of musicians. To date he has released a dozen albums, eight of which reached platinum status and two gold status. In addition to his musical career, Banai also writes books, edits and presents a radio program, and composes music for the theater, for the cinema, and for dance performances. He has won two Israeli Oscars for original score.
