Ofer Shalchin
Shalchin is a musician, actor, and voice over artist, who appeared, among others, in the plays: Allah Karim (Acco Festival, for which he also composed the music), Room (HaSimta Theater), Ego (Theater Company Jerusalem), Winter at Qualandia (The Arab-Hebrew Theater), Gelem (Tmuna Theater), Fuenteovejuna (Cameri Theater in collaboration with Haifa Theater), Machinel (The Khan Theater), and Humor is Golden (Tzavta Theater). He has composed music for the plays The Trojan Women, Bunker, and The Oresteia (Habima Theater), Iphigenia in Aulis (Haifa Theater), and The Tempest (The Arab-Hebrew Theater), for the film Campfire (which has earned him a nomination for the Israeli Oscar), and for dance pieces by Batsheva Dance Company and Inbal Dance Theatre Company and Arts Centre, and participated in the theatrical-musical show Childhood with Yehudit Ravitz. He has directed the children’s plays I Realized a Dream, Stone Soup, and Eliezer Ben Yehuda – A Journey to the Heart of the Hebrew Language. He is currently playing and acting in the play Man Equals Man at the Khan Theater and in the play Eliezer Ben Yehuda – A Journey to the Heart of the Hebrew Language.
