Zeruya Shalev
Shalev is a novelist and an editor. Her award-winning and critically acclaimed novels have been translated into over 20 languages. Her novel Love Life (1997), which has been adapted for the screen, received ACUM’s Golden Feather Award and was included in Der Spiegel’s prestigious list of 20 Best Novels in World Literature over the last 40 years. Her novel Husband and Wife (2000) received the German Corine Prize and the French Amphi Award. Her novel Thera (2005) received ACUM’s Literary Achievement of the Year Award and was adapted into a play for the Cameri Theater. Her novel The Remains of Love (2011) has been awarded the 2014 Prix Femina for Foreign Fiction (France), and the Die Welt Award (Germany). She has also written the children’s books Mama’s Best Boy, and Just Look at That Child!, and the novel Pain (2015).
