Tal Nitzan

A poet, editor, and award-winning translator. Nitzan has published six poetry collections, the novel Each and Every Child, and four books for children. She has edited and translated two anthologies of Latin American poetry. She also edited an anthology of Hebrew protest poetry, With an Iron Pen, which has been translated and published in the United States and France. She has translated almost eighty prose and poetry works from Spanish and English. Her poems have been translated into numerous languages, and a dozen collections of her poetry were published around the world in different language. Nitzan has won many awards for her poetry and translations, including the Minister of Culture Prize for Debut Poetry, the Bernstein Prize for Poetry, ACUM Award for Creative Writing Submitted Anonymously, the Hebrew University Prize for Poetry, the Minister of Culture Prize for Translation (twice), the Tchernichovsky Prize for Exemplary Translation, an honorary medal from the President of Chile and more.
