David Grossman
Born in Jerusalem in 1954. Grossman has authored nine novels, three nonfiction books, and a collection of short stories, as well as children’s books, an opera for children, and a play. His books have been translated into over 30 languages and adapted into plays and films in Israel and worldwide. Grossman received numerous literary prizes, including the Brenner Prize, the Prime Minister’s Prize for Literature, the Sapir Prize, and the Emet Prize, the Peace Prize of the German Book Trade in Frankfurt, the Prize for the Best Career of the Italian Calcari Foundation, and the French Prix Médicis for translated literature.
