Rabinyan is the author of the bestselling novels Persian Brides (1995) and Our Weddings (1999), which have been translated into 15 languages and published worldwide, and the children’s book Where Was I? (2006). Rabinyan has been awarded the New Literature Prize in Memory of Isaac and Tova Wiener, the Prime Minister’s Prize for Literature, the Jewish Quarterly Wingate Prize, and the Literary ACUM Award. She wrote the screenplay for the television movie Shuli’s Fiancé, which received the Israeli Oscar for Best Drama of the Year. Her book, Borderlife (2014) has earned her the Bernstein Prize for a Hebrew Novel, was included in the Haaretz’ 2014 best novels list and in the long list for Sapir Prize, and received prestigious translation grants from the Rabinovich Foundation, the Ministry of Culture, and the American Schusterman Foundation. In 2015, the Ministry of Education decided not to include the novel Borderlife into the high school literature curriculum.
