Israeli writer and historian
Fania Oz-Salzberger is an Israeli writer, historian and current affairs commentator. Among her books: Translating the Enlightenment (Oxford, 1995), Israelis in Berlin (Jerusalem, 2001; German translation Frankfurt am Main, 2001), and, with Amos Oz, Jews and Words (New Haven, 2012). She wrote her doctoral dissertation at Oxford University, held professorial posts at Monash University (Melbourne) and Princeton, and is currently Professor of Intellectual History at the University of Haifa.
Her opinion articles appeared in many newspapers, including International Herald Tribune, Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, Guardian, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and Le Figaro.
