Miri Gilad
poet, literature researcher and a lecturer
Dr. Miri Gilad was born and grew up in Kibbutz Nir-Am, close to the Gaza Strip. Her parents, coming from East Europe, were part of the group who established her Kibbutz in 1943.
Gilad has published three poetry books:

The quest to a moment of being in Daily Life and in the Works of Virginia Woolf and S. Yizhar (based on the PhD research)
Gilad taught literature in high schools and colleges for 20 years. These days she is a freelance lecturer.
Lives in Oranit, married and a mother of three grown children and five grandchildren.
