Itay Akirav
Born in 1984, Tel Aviv. Graduate of the Sam Spiegel film and television school and Helicon poetry class. A teacher for creative writing and computers in elementary school in Jerusalem, and conductor of cinema workshops for rehabilitation prisoners On behalf Prisoner Rehabilitation Authority and Hartman Institute. Editor of the Beit Avi Chai cinema program and the “Saying Poetry” evenings in the Israel museum. Films that he produced and directed participated in film festivals in Israel and worldwide. Currently working on a series of short documentaries films on contemporary Israeli poetry and on a short film “On the Roadside” will have a premiere screened in the Arava Film Festival.
